A community is a group of people who share common interests
In B-Com, a community can be the entire audience of an event, or a group within an event such as sponsored participants, journalists, exhibitors or speakers. Each community benefits from dedicated content and services, enabling community members to access custom information while community managers are given access to features they need to manage and interact with their community.
As an example, a communication manager is responsible for promoting an event to the press. He is given access to the community management portal where he can manage information and news specifically for journalists. He can send invitations to his list of journalists (imported from an excel spreadsheet or retrieved from his directory), and grant them with free or discounted registrations and services.
Alternatively, the press community manager can review and approve accreditation requests received directly from journalists. Once journalists registered to the event, the community manager can share additional content and engage with them, at any time, even long after the event is over.
